Compact Gold Detector for Demanding Terrain
The SDC 2300 is a pulse induction gold detector built for prospectors who work in difficult conditions. With its folding carbon-fibre design, waterproof construction and automatic ground handling, it goes where other detectors cannot: creek beds, rocky gullies, wet ground and heavily mineralised soil. Turn it on and start detecting straight away, no complex setup required.
 
MPF Technology
The SDC 2300 uses Multi Period Fast (MPF) technology, which rapidly switches between transmit and receive signals. This reduces residual interference during the receive phase, resulting in sharper signal clarity and more accurate detection of very small gold targets, even in mineralised ground.
 
Easy to Use
Simple and straightforward controls let you focus on the search rather than the settings. The detector automatically handles ground balance and noise cancellation. A sensitivity dial and a one-press Noise Cancel button are all you need to get started. Default sensitivity is set at position 2 for Normal mode.
 
All-Terrain Performance
Normal Mode covers a wide range of ground conditions, while Salt Mode is designed for mineralised or salt-rich environments such as beaches and salt lakes. Automatic ground tracking continuously adjusts to changing soil as you move, keeping performance stable across varied terrain.
 
Submersion-Ready
The detector is fully waterproof to 3 m depth. The 8" Monoloop coil, housing and electronics work underwater without any restrictions. The compact coil handles tight spots with ease: rocky gullies, stream beds and uneven ground where larger detectors cannot reach. Before submerging, check that the battery compartment seal is clean and undamaged. The included headphones are not waterproof: remove them before going underwater and use the LED indicators to follow detection responses.
 
Light and Compact
At 2.3 kg, the SDC 2300 folds down to 40 cm for transport in a backpack or carry-on bag. Carbon-fibre shafts keep it rigid and durable in rough terrain. Unfold in seconds and you are ready to detect.
 
Audio and Visual Response
Nine LED indicators show detection responses, battery charge level and threshold settings at a glance. A dedicated low-battery LED gives advance warning so you are not caught short during a long day out. A soft, low tone signals a small or deep target; a loud, high tone indicates a larger or shallower target.
 
Power Options
The included rechargeable lithium-ion battery pack (7.4 V / 4200 mAh) provides up to 8 hours of use on a single charge. When no power point is available, the detector also runs on 4 x C-cell 1.5 V alkaline batteries, giving full flexibility for remote locations.
 
Audio Settings
Fine-tune your detecting experience with 9 levels of threshold control and low or high pitch options. The SDC 2300 comes with wired headphones and a built-in speaker. A 6-pin jack accepts third-party wired headphones. It is also compatible with the Pro-Sonic Wireless Audio transmitter and Koss waterproof headphones (both sold separately).
